Background Information

| Family History | Mark was born into a non-military family on Long Island, NY. His father and mother came over in the 70's from Croatia but at the time was part of the communist Yugoslavia. His father works hard in a construction company where he is one of the top union workers at the same company today. His mother cleaned house and worked at the local library to get some extra money to help get and pay for a house. Mark is an only child who was raised with love but his family was also strict. |
| Educdational Background | He excelled in his schooling and sports in the public school system. After Mark's graduation, he went to a prep school for a year before going to the Air Force Academy where he decided to study Behavioral Sciences and Leadership. He also played hockey for the Academy and also became the commander of his flight squadron. Mark graduated in the top 10% of his class with honors. |
| Military/Work Profile | After graduating from the USAFA he was assign to a platoon in that was in Afghanistan. A few months after arriving, his platoon was ordered to Iraq. Mark saw alot of action during the first couple of months then it settled down at the base they were stationed at. A year in, his platoon was being sent home where it was ambushed killing his command officers in the first blast. He and handful of soldiers gave cover fire so the rest of the truck could escape. Ten minutes later air support came took them out of the combat zone. During Mark's debriefing he was told that he was not returning to his platoon, and that he was be reassigned to Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado. |
| Medical Profile | Ayres mental and physical states are very well grounded. He doesn't have any serious issues that would affect him performing his duty. He did have some minor wounds from the ambush, but they have healed.
